Hey John,

There is nothing that could prepare one, who is daring enough to take up
the challenge, for the ‘boot camp’ experience you provide. As you mentioned
several times this week, you are out of control. You’re correct, but let
me put it in the form of a metaphor; you are out of control like a fighter
pilot, pushing the edge of the envelope but not crashing. You are obviously
a gifted diagnostician who has made the financial commitment to rise above
your peers who are now few. But your real strength is your passion for your
profession and your unique relationship with your customer. Like Toyota Motor
Corp, if you hold your core values above everything else, the money will be there.
The fire that burns from within you cannot be taught, something to think about
when you make your plans to go national. In any event, this has been a worthwhile
experience that I will do my best to pass on to techs across the country. Thanks
for real life experience of being in your shoes if only for one week.
