The numerous and diverse systems found on today’s cars can present overwhelming challenges to today’s technician. The good news is that a diagnostic plan of attack can be developed for each and every system, simply by understanding the foundations of on-board computers. This class will focus on top case studies I have collected in the field over the past 10 years. Each case study will show how a diagnostic plan was developed to resolve each issue. This is not a tip & tricks class, but more of a class on how did I get there. I will focus on ways to utilize different equipment in your shop to test vehicles, as well as introduce newer test equipment that may help you expedite the diagnostic process.
